In the South Salt Lake Fire Department we perform several special operations. Some of the operations are High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Trench Rescue and Medical and Fire services. Training is performed daily within each platoon and is also coordinated with other Fire Departments in the Salt LakeValley.

Training is a great opportunity for our fire personnel to test their skills and abilities. Within our City, when any type of structure becomes available, we make arrangements with the owner to perform various types of training prior to demolition. This type of live fire training prepares us to be 100% ready when the real call comes in.
