The South Salt Lake City FireDepartment will be offering a “CERT” class. (Citizen Emergency Response Team)

Dates and Times: Tuesday evenings, starting April 4th from 6 to 9pm. The class goes for 7 weeks. It will be held at Columbus Community Center. *Please sign up no later then April 3rd.

Topics of instruction include: Team Work, First Aid, Light Extrication, Search and Rescue, Triage and Treatment, Fire Extinguisher usage and Fire Chemistry. Each class includes classroom instruction, hands on practical experience, and group question and answer period. The course is open to everyone and the only cost is your time.

The class has a $20 deposit that will be returned upon completion. You will receive a set of CERT gear that includes; Gloves - Leather and medical, a hard hat, Vest, Whistle, Dust Mask, goggles, and a beautiful Green Bag to keep your equipment in.

We will be offering a CPR certification class if we have enough interest. There will be a $20 fee to cover books and certification.
