Water bills are generated the first week of the month and are always due on the 20th of the month.
The minimum bill per month for a standard 1.00 inch water meter is $16.05 with a 5,000 gallon allowance. There is an excess water charge of $1.82 per 1,000 gallons over the allowance. Additional fees are charged for larger sized meters. A rate list is located on the backside of the utility bill. Water meters are read every month. There is also a mandatory fluoride charge of $2.00 per month per water connection.
There is no charge to have water disconnected. Reconnection fees are $25.00-$65.00. |
Water is subject to disconnection anytime after the due date.
If water service has been terminated at a property for non-payment, payment of the full account balance and a reconnect fee is required to restore water service. There is a $25.00 reconnect fee to have water service restored by 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m., the reconnect fee is $65.00 - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Some of our residents are fortunate to have old artesian wells in their yards. We are often asked about these. The City has no jurisdiction regarding them-we advise you to talk to your neighbors and see what they have done or try calling the State Water Rights # for more information: 538-7240 |
