The City Attorney, Mr. Lyn Creswell, is counsel to the Mayor, the City Council, and all City boards, commissions and agencies. He is responsible to review all contracts entered into by the City, is authorized to resolve claims against the City, and pursues claims by the City against other individuals or entities. He prepares or reviews all proposed ordinances and resolutions coming before the City Council.
The City employs a full-time Deputy City Attorney and a Lead Legal Secretary to assist the City Attorney in rendering these services.
