You will be shuttled to James Madison Park to get into your canoe and will take off the river at Redwood Park again.
Take a short trip down the Jordan River and see the special ecosystem our city is proud to be home to. Led by Splore.
This event is free and open to the public. Must weigh over 50 lbs (22 kg) to participate.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - READ BEFORE ARRIVAL
1. RSVP in advance. Group Size is limited to 12 total people, due to number of canoes. RSVP to Sharen Hauri at firstname.lastname@example.org 801.633.1262 (text or phone).
2. Dress for adventure
- Wear shoes with HEEL STRAPS (no flip flops, crocs or slip-ons without a heel)
- Clothes to get wet and layers (jacket, fleece, shirt)
3. Meet at Redwood Park (west bank of the river) at 1585 W. Lester Street in West Valley City. You will be shuttled in a van to the put in location (James Madison Park at 3300 S). You will return via canoe to Redwood Park. You can get to Redwood Park on the Jordan River Trail if you wish. Cross the river at the pedestrian/bike bridge next to Utah Cultural Celebration Center.
