South Salt Lake Animal Services operates a full scale shelter/adoption center and provides animal services and animal law enforcement to the City of South Salt Lake and by contract to the City of Holladay. Current staffing includes our Full Time Animal Service Officer(s) Debbie Pedersen, Ricardo Rosado, and Stephanie Hyden-Leek, and Kim Record-Favor is the shelter tech.
Our Animal Services Officers work very hard to satisfy the need for enforcement of animal related laws in all the cities they support. In addition, they work equally hard to find loving homes for adoptable animals by advertising the available animals on several internet web sites (see links below) and coordinating with several rescue organizations around the state to take adoptable animals the shelter no longer has room for.
One of our biggest concerns is people don't know where we are located or they can't find us. The shelter address is 2274 South 600 West. 600 West can only be accessed from 2100 South or 2700 South. Once you find 600 West, you can't miss us. Look for the big grey/green water tank. We're one door south.
If you wish to view our current inventory click here www.petfinder.com once you’ve accessed this site, choose what animal your looking for and enter our zip code 84115. We try took keep this as up to date as possible. Please take a moment and look at all the animals we have to adopt.
