The Recreation Department offers over 30 special events each year. Special Events in South Salt Lake have been going strong for 7-years and offering quality and affordable events for the citizens in the community. The Recreation Department has been voted by the Utah Recreation and Parks Association as the Best Programs, Events and Facilities Awards. The Recreation Department has been voted Best in the State Award in 2004. The South Salt Lake Recreation Department is Proud of what it offers for a Better Quality of Life for the citizens in South Salt Lake and surrounding areas.
