Mission Statement
It is the mission of the South Salt Lake Fire Department to provide professional and competent emergency medical, fire, and rescue services to our customers, the citizens of the City of South Salt Lake.
The South Salt Lake Fire Department serves the over 22,000 citizens of South Salt Lake and the thousands of visitors and workers that make up the large day time population. In addition to the services provided in South Salt Lake, the Fire Department is a member of the Salt Lake Valley Metro Fire Agency and readily assists neighboring cities and townships daily. SSLFD provides fire protection, paramedic EMS service, hazardous materials service, specialty rescue, and will soon add ambulance transport."
