It is the intent of the Uniform Fine/Bail Schedule to provide assistance to the sentencing judge in determining the appropriate fine or bail to be assessed in a particular case and to minimize disparity of fines/bails imposed by different courts for similar offenses.

This schedule is not intended to deprive nor minimize the authority of the court to impose a sentence deemed just in the discretion of the judge.
